Hank's Fly Fishing Report 12-19-07
Recent report have
indicated that the steelhead are in the rivers, such as the P.M.,
Manistee, little Manistee, Muskegon, Betsi, Platte, etc. on
the west side of the state. Numbers are expected to increase
as we progress toward April of 2008, spawning time. Some
sightings of steelhead have occurred on the Clinton River near Yates
Cider mill.
Suggested flies to use are: Various Egg Patterns, Black Stone
Fly Nymph, Various Wiggler Patterns, Spring Wiggler, Olive and Black
Wooly Bugger, Hares Ears and the like.
